“In 1960 as senior in high school I was a member of the Ecurie Ecosse Association. The team came to Watkins Glen to run in Formula Libre race. Went down to the pits to say hello and got invited to be a “guest pit crew member” for Sunday’s race!! I expected to stand in the corner out of the way!
