So far, the reviews abroad have been favorable, and it was even crowned the World Car of the Year for 2026. The praise and accolades just kept coming, and Mercedes-Benz didn’t want its longtime rival getting all the attention.Sindelfingen’s response was with the electric version of the GLC. Its full name is GLC with EQ Technology, but we’ll call it GLC EV moving forward. It made its world premiere back in September 2025 and has been available in Europe for a couple of months now. Like the iX3, initial impressions have been promising, and Mercedes-Benz is determined to make this EV stand out and sell well. Outsell the iX3? That’s surely one of the goals.
