This collection includes a gas pump manufactured by S.F. Bowser & Company of Fort Wayne, Indiana, a small and a large oil pump, and a sign with an integrated clock. All four pieces display Texaco branding, and the pieces were refurbished with powder coating and replacement decals. This collection of Texaco display pieces is now offered at no reserve in Dundee, Illinois.
Refurbishment of the gas pump entailed powder-coating the exterior in red, applying Fire-Chief decals, installing a Texaco globe, and replacing the rubber hose. Keys for the lockable panels are attached to the aluminum OPW nozzle.
The double three-function registers indicate the sale price in dollars, gallons delivered, and cost per gallon in cents. A bulb illuminates the globe.
The larger oil pump was refurbished with a Texaco Motor Oils/Gasoline Filling Station decal. The smaller oil pump was also refurbished, and it wears a simpler Texaco-logo decal.
Dualite of Williamsburg, Ohio, produced the Texaco clock sign in 1995. It does not currently illuminate. …
