Major Recall ProblemBack in April of 2025, we covered a massive recall advisory issued by Ford Motor Company. In it, the specific problem was identified as a faulty rear brake hose prone to rupturing and leaking vital brake fluid. As we all know, a lack of brake fluid will dramatically affect your car’s ability to stop safely and at a proper distance.At the time, the recall totaled a whopping 499,129 units, split between Lincoln and Ford. Unfortunately, while Ford has acknowledged the issue and issued a recall, it seems the issue isn’t even close to being resolved yet.No End In SightThe specific cars affected by the recall are the Lincoln MKX (made from 2016 to 2018) and the Ford Edge (made from 2015 to 2018). According to the initial recall, the cars used bad rear jounce hoses, which were pulled from production in December of 2017, but crucially, Ford hasn’t determined what caused the hoses to rupture.
