This 1985 Bertone X1/9 was acquired by the seller in 2020 and subsequently fitted with a modified 2.0-liter Honda K20A2 inline-four and a rebuilt six-speed manual transaxle using a kit from Midwest Bayless as part of a build completed in 2023. Additional highlights of the project included a repaint in Rosso Corsa, an interior refresh, and installation of a Wavetrac limited-slip differential as well as overhauls of the suspension, steering, and braking systems. The engine is managed by a Hondata ECU and is said to be fitted with Skunk2 camshafts and Nippon Racing high-compression pistons along with shot-peened connecting rods and a machined crankshaft.
