This 16′ stepped-bottom hydroplane was built in 1940 by Boyce & Sons, a San Diego-based boat builder, for competition in the Pacific One Design Hydroplane (PODH) class. It was refurbished in 2022 with work that involved refreshing the 221ci Ford flathead V8, varnishing the deck, and refinishing the hull in silver, red, and black. The boat was subsequently awarded Best in Class and the Mayor’s Choice Award at the 2022 Keels & Wheels Concours d’Elegance in Seabrook, Texas.
