A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:
“A turquoise R2 4-speed is the quentessential Avanti and very few other cars for the same money will draw more attention.
However, been so long since I have seen an Avanti MSRP window sticker, I’d forgotten Studebaker had the unmitigated gall to ding the buyer $20 for TV advertising and $50 for Metro advertising. Go figure!
I bow to no man in my love for the Avanti, but it was always costly and this just seems to be added insult to injury.

“I’ll tell you, when I was a kid in the ‘80s I thought the two coolest cars in existence were the Countach and the 928. I held them in almost equal regard. I’m happy to see a pinnacle 928 getting the love!”
