Frequent oil changes (every 5,000 miles or so) are the simplest way of taking good care of your vehicle. Well-lubricated powerplants run better and consume less fuel, which, given the current gas prices, can be a blessing in disguise. Now, however, you might want to buy a few quarts of oil because there’s supposedly a shortage inbound.
