Rolls-Royce Just Gave Its First EV More Power, Better Range, and More Ways to Make It Your Own

The Rolls-Royce Spectre EV was launched toward the end of 2023, but the Goodwood-based automaker has already seen fit to launch a Series II, and unlike the Cullinan S2, Rolls-Royce hasn’t fiddled with the looks aside from adding a new color. Instead, it’s enhanced the capability of the car, with revised cell technology giving it 18 percent more range (390 miles on the WLTP cycle, or roughly 308 miles on the EPA cycle), quicker charging times (down 14 percent), and more power with the Black Badge. You now get 592 horsepower versus 577 hp in the S1, and in Infiniti mode, peak output jumps from 650 hp to 671 hp. That means the Black Badge continues to be the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever, and in Spirited Mode, torque rises to an earthmoving 811 lb-ft (normally 748 lb-ft).
