A quarter of a century ago next year, German carmaker Volkswagen gave life to its R performance brand. The birthplace of many extraordinarily powerful machines over the past 25 years, the company is planning to celebrate the occasion in the proper fashion, by entering the 24-hour Nurburgring race in 2027.
