This collection of engine parts was assembled to build a Flathead V8 and includes a “French” block manufactured in 1988, Navarro heads, pistons, a camshaft, and more as described in the seller-provided list found at the end of the gallery. These parts are offered by Genau Auto Werks, a BaT Local Partner, on behalf of the owner at no reserve in Novato, California.
“French” blocks were manufactured in France under license from the 1950s through the 1990s and commonly used in military vehicles; the blocks were cast using more contemporary techniques and a higher nickel content. This block was cast in April 1988.
Connecting rods, forged Arias pistons, a polished Eddie Meyer intake manifold, and two Stromberg carburetors jetted for a 284ci engine are included in the collection.
An Elgin camshaft, a crankshaft, Fenton exhaust headers, a truck-style water pump, a Lincoln oil pump, and a 12-volt alternator in a generator housing are also part of the collection.
A larger version of the seller-provided list of contents is presented at the end of the gallery. …
