GM Pauses Fix for Super Cruise Glitch That Can Trigger Sudden Braking

‘Overly Sensitive’ Brake AssistIf you own a GM product with Super Cruise and have been experiencing overly sensitive automatic braking, there’s currently an issue with the Integrated Brake Assist. The company issued a technical service bulletin for it back in November 2025, targeting ‘Unwanted Integrated Brake Assist.’Several models are affected by the issue. GM Authority listed a couple of Cadillac models: Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade IQ, Escalade IQL, and the Vistiq. The Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, as well as the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, were also mentioned.

On HoldSeveral months have passed since the service bulletin was issued, but GM has just said the fix for the sensitive brake assist has been put on hold for select vehicles.
