CEO Jim Farley has indeed confirmed that the automaker is in early talks with the government about defense projects, as reported by Bloomberg.Farley was quoted as saying, “We are in early discussions with the U.S. government on some defense-related projects,” during an earnings call on April 29, 2026. No other specifics were given at the time of writing.
