The FIA has extended its deal for Pirelli to supply Formula 1’s tyres until 2028.Pirelli agreed a new three-year deal with the FIA at the end of 2023 for 2025-27 with an option for an additional year.That option has now been taken up by the FIA in mutual agreement with Formula One Management and Pirelli, meaning Pirelli will supply F1’s tyres until at least the end of 2028.Pirelli will also continue to supply support categories Formula 2 and Formula 3 for the same time period. FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem said Pirelli had provided a “consistently high standard of performance, innovation, and safety at the highest level of our sport”. …
