This 427ci V8 is #079 of 427 examples produced in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the introduction of Chevrolet big-block engines. The engine is based on the late-1960s all-aluminum ZL1 block, uses the same tooling, and features a forged rotating assembly, oval-port aluminum cylinder heads, and a matching oval-port aluminum intake manifold. It utilizes a hydraulic roller tappet camshaft and is designed to run on 92-octane pump fuel. The engine remains unused in its factory shipping crate and has been with the seller since October 2025.
