Porsche 356 Type 616/12 Engine

This Porsche Type 616/12 flat-four was originally produced for use in a 1963 Porsche 356B 1600S and acquired by the owner in 2009. That year, the engine was disassembled, inspected, and rebuilt to displace 1,883 cc, with work completed over the following years, after which the engine was stored. In March 2026, the engine was taken to Redline Service in Arizona to be run on a stand, where the carburetors were adjusted, timing was set to 10°, and cylinder leakage and compression tests were performed.
