Chrysler Says Future is Now with 2027 Pacifica Reveal in New York

Chrysler created the minivan market in the 1980s and in the late 2020s it’s still a leader in the segment with the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica unveiled at the 2026 New York International Auto Show revealing some evolutionary updates.

“This refreshed Pacifica builds on that momentum by delivering the perfect blend of new refreshed exterior design, new features, smarter technology with the beloved innovations our customers rely on,” said Matt McAlear, Chrysler brand CEO. Together, they strengthen our position in the segment we created and open new opportunities for growth as we enter the next era of the Chrysler brand.”On sale now, starting at $41,495 without destination fees, is for the newest iteration of the minivan, the Pacific LX. Formerly dubbed Voyager, it is the entry-level model of the lineup, but retains the power sliding doors as well as the heated seats and steering wheel Pacifica buyers expect. The Select, Limited, and Pinnacle remain, and they get a new front fascia with vertical LED headlamps and an illuminated grille. That grille also features the new version of the Chrysler wing logo as well as applique for the rear liftgate. New paint colors and wheel designs are also available on the new model.Safety is critical to minivan buyers and the 2027 Pacifica features an enhanced version of the Safety Sphere Package, which includes turn signal-activated Blind-spot View and ParkSense-based camera activation. This improves visibility for the driver by using cameras to fill in the blind spots.

Chrysler’s Stow ‘n Go seating and storage system carries on into the 2027 model. “The second- and third-row seats to disappear into the floor in seconds and creating a flat load surface with more than 140 cubic feet of cargo space,” officials said. “When seats are deployed, the under-floor bins provide additional, easily accessible storage, ideal for weekend gear, groceries, sports equipment or road‑trip essentials.” Chrysler added that the Pacifica is the only vehicle with this kind of seating system that also offers all-wheel drive. The big change for many will be the modernized wing badge that got a preview on the Chrysler Airflow concept four years ago and was used on the Halcyon concept in 2024. The new logo features a cleaner, digital feel, along with a freshened “Chrysler” wordmark which was created in-house. Prominently displayed on the front and rear of the vehicle, and subtly integrated throughout as design “Easter eggs,” the latest wing badge represents a contemporary expression of Chrysler’s legacy, blending a century of heritage with a forward-looking vision of the future, the company noted.[Images: Chrysler]Become a TTAC insider.
