The MY2026 model could be the final iteration of the current generation, as plans for MY2027 remain unclear, with a next-generation model expected in 2028.This development could be useful for buyers who may want to check out remaining inventory, possibly with aggressive discounts, or wait until the next-generation model arrives. What makes the latter more interesting is that it will reportedly be built at GM’s Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas, rather than in China, where the current Envision is produced under the SAIC-GM partnership. That would spare the model from import tariffs and give GM more pricing flexibility.
