George Russell retired from the Formula 1’s 2026 Canadian Grand Prix and ensured a fourth straight victory for Kimi Antonelli, while Mercedes’ closest pace threat McLaren endured a torrid day.After earlier rain, McLaren chose to start the race on intermediates, but the track had virtually dried and further rain stayed away, forcing Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris to pit for slicks soon after the start.
