This 1971 Porsche 914-6 was acquired in 2016 by the seller, the long-time proprietor and operator of a Porsche service shop, following the passing of the prior owner who was the seller’s best friend, former co-worker, and also a factory-trained Porsche mechanic. The car was sold out of Texas in 1976 and subsequently relocated to California, where in 1979 the body was repainted in Desert Beige and the 2.0-liter flat-six was modified with 911S pistons and cylinders, upgraded chain tensioners, 901 camshafts, and dual Weber 40 IDA 3C carburetors.
