This 1961 Volkswagen Beetle was acquired in 2024 by the seller’s late husband who installed a 1,776cc flat-four that was built by Chico Performance Racing of Arcadia, California in 2025, and it has been further modified with a custom exhaust system, a lowering kit, an Alpine stereo head unit, Retrosound speakers and amplifier, a bamboo under-dash tray, and rear window blinds. It has been refinished with a worn blue paint scheme and the seats were reupholstered during the build.
