This 1959 Porsche 356A 1600 Super GT is one of an estimated seven Speedsters manufactured for the US market in lightweight competition configuration with a 1.6-liter pushrod engine. Chassis 84933 was reportedly ordered new by Porsche dealer Carl Block out of Oakland, California, and it underwent refurbishment work in the late 1980s. It was subsequently displayed at the Chandler Vintage Museum of Transportation and Wildlife in Oxnard, California, through its liquidation in 2006, after which it spent time in various states under several owners prior to being acquired by the current owner in 2017 via Road Scholars.
