1937 Ariel Square Four

This 1937 Ariel Square Four was originally imported to Austria by A. Weininger & Co. of Vienna. It remained in that country in dry storage from 1954 through 1990 when it was acquired for Das Österreichische Motorradmuseum (Austrian Motorcycle Museum aka Sammlung Ehn or Ehn Collction) in Sigmundsherberg. The bike underwent a refurbishment in the museum’s workshops and was kept on display there until being sold in 2008. Power is from a 997cc square-four linked to a Burman four-speed transmission, and the bike is finished in red and black with gold accents.
