This re-creation of a 1936 Auto Union Type C Grand Prix car is said to have been hand-built by its previous owner, who reportedly traveled to Europe to study the dimensions and layout of an original Type C. After its completion the car is believed to have spent approximately a decade in the builder’s private showroom before being sold to a collector, and it was purchased by its current owner four years ago. Featuring hand-formed aluminum bodywork, the car is powered by a mid-rear-mounted 4.2-liter GM Vortec inline-six that is mated a Porsche 914 five-speed manual transaxle.
