26-Years-Owned 350-Powered Sprint Car Project at No Reserve

This sprint car was a custom commission made for the seller’s father-in-law as replica to the 1952 Agajanian Indy 500 winning car driven by his friend, Troy Ruttman. According to the seller, Jay Yahnke – a NASA engineer – was employed to make the fiberglass bodywork, which is finished in white with red #98 graphics to mimic Troy Ruttman’s 1952 Indianapolis 500–winning Agajanian Special. Roy Campbell was asked to build the alcohol-injected 350ci Chevrolet V8, which is mated to a direct-drive transmission and a Halibrand tube axle, and it was reportedly custom built around the year 2000 using a 1980s-era sprint-car chassis.
